Birthday Parties — 20 to 30 Guests

75 base cards — no extra kit needed for a standard birthday party. At 25 guests making 3 cards each, you hit exactly 75. At 30 guests the base covers 2-3 cards per child with a few to spare. Consider one extra kit if the birthday kid and close friends will want more than 3 cards each over an 8-hour party.

Medium Parties and Family Events — 40 to 75 Guests

Order 1 extra kit (150 total pictures). At 50 guests making 3 cards each you need 150 — that's the base plus one kit exactly. At 75 guests you get 2 cards each. Larger family reunions and neighborhood events in this range: order 1 kit minimum, 2 kits if children will cycle through more than twice.

Church Events and School Field Days — 100 to 150 Guests

Order 2 extra kits (225 total pictures). At 100 guests making 2 cards each you need 200 cards — base plus 2 kits covers it. At 150 guests with 1 card each: 2 kits covers it with a few to spare. The old product page identifies schools and churches specifically: "This can be great if you are doing a large event at a school or church."

Community Festivals and Large School Carnivals — 200+ Guests

Order 3 to 4 extra kits (300 to 375 total pictures). At 200 guests with 1 card per person you need 200 — that's base plus 2 kits. At 300 guests: base plus 3 kits. The old page includes community arts festivals in this category. For events where you cannot predict exact attendance, order one extra kit beyond your estimate — running out of cards is the situation you cannot recover from mid-event.

Colors Vary — No Color Guarantee

The old product page states this directly: "The colors can vary. You will get different colors of paint with each rental but there is no guarantee which colors will come with your spin art supplies." Each kit includes 4 paint colors, but which specific colors are included in any given kit depends on what is available. The color assortment is not guaranteed to match between your machine rental kit and any extra supply kits you add.

For Most Events, Color Variation Is a Feature

Spin art is appealing partly because every card is different. Color variation between kits adds to that variety — participants making cards at different points in the event with different active paint colors produce even more diverse results. For events where visual consistency across all cards is not a concern, color variation between kits is simply part of the experience rather than a problem.

If Specific Colors Matter — Call Before Booking

If your event has a color theme — a purple and gold school carnival, a red and blue team celebration, a pink birthday party — and color-matching matters, call (817) 800-8618 before booking to discuss what color assortments are currently available. Availability cannot be guaranteed, but a conversation before your booking date gives the best chance of coordinating colors where possible.

School Carnivals and Field Days

The old page calls this out explicitly: "This can be great if you are doing a large event at a school." School carnivals with 200-500 students in rotation through activity booths need significantly more than the base 75 cards. Plan for 1 card per student minimum — more if older students tend to want multiple runs. Extra supply kits are how the spin art station stays operational for the full event. Church carnivals and VBS culmination events often run 150-300 attendees. The base machine supplies cover the first 75 participants — extra kits cover the rest. A spin art station at an arts festival with open attendance needs the most conservative planning — you cannot predict how many participants will want a turn. Order generously for open-attendance events. Having leftover supplies is an acceptable outcome; running out midway through is not.

Birthday parties with 40+ guests, or family reunions where every age group will make multiple cards, should plan for at least 1 extra kit. The base 75-card supply works for a standard 25-kid birthday party. Anything larger — backyard parties with neighboring families, birthday parties where parents and siblings also participate actively — benefits from having the extra supply kit on hand.

Corporate Events and Company Picnics

Company picnics with children of employees cycling through the spin art station alongside their parents can burn through supplies faster than expected when adults also participate. If your corporate event expects children and adults both at the spin art station, plan supply quantities based on total expected participation rather than just the child headcount. Events Where Each Guest Wants Multiple Cards

The unpredictability of spin art — every card comes out different — is what drives participants to want multiple runs. At birthday parties and smaller events where the station is not overwhelmed, plan for children to make 2-3 cards each rather than 1. If your target is 3 cards per child, multiply your guest count by 3 to get the total cards needed, then calculate how many kits that requires using the table above.

Machine Rental Is Required — Add Both at Checkout

Request at Booking — Not the Day Before Your Event

Supply kits are inventoried and assigned to orders in advance of delivery. Calling the day before your event to add extra kits may not be possible depending on availability and scheduling. Request supply quantities when you place your initial booking, then adjust if your guest count changes significantly before the event. Weather Happens

The Spin Art Machine and its supplies work indoors. If rain moves the party inside, the station and all supply kits come with you. When weather cancels the whole event, your deposit rolls forward with no penalties.
