Stand at the throwing line in front of the game board. Your supervisor hands you 5 rings. The bottles stand upright on the board in front of you. Pick a bottle to target on your first ring.

Hold the ring flat between your fingers and release it with a smooth, level motion — not a random toss. The ring needs to travel horizontally and arrive at the bottle neck in an orientation that lets it settle around the outside. The spin of the ring in flight is what you are controlling.

Land the Ring Around the Bottle

A ring that settles cleanly around the bottle neck scores a point. You have 5 rings — use them all. Each ring that lands scores. Use your earlier throws to calibrate your release and improve your accuracy with each successive ring.

Allow a throwing lane of 6 to 10 feet in front of the game board depending on player age and ability. No staking, anchoring, or gate access required. Works on grass, concrete, gymnasium flooring, carpet, or any flat surface indoors or outdoors.

How is Ring Toss different from the Stand a Bottle game and the Milk Can Toss — both also involve bottles?

The Milk Can Toss lands a softball through the inside of a standing can's neck — a precision arc-landing challenge.
