Set the Seven Pins

Slide the First Puck

Player slides the first puck down the alley toward the pin cluster. Aim for the center of the pin formation to maximize spread. The puck travels flat along the alley surface — release angle and force determine the path and impact zone.

Adjust for Standing Pins

After the first slide, count standing pins and adjust the angle for the second puck. Target the cluster of remaining pins rather than center-alley. Each slide narrows the problem — three slides is enough to work through the whole rack strategically.

Count Pins and Chase the Strike

Score by pins knocked down across all three slides. All seven pins down is a strike — the perfect game. Track cumulative pin counts across rounds for tournament ranking. Reset all seven pins between each player's full turn and run the next competitor.

Supervision

One volunteer manages the Strike Zone station: resetting the seven pins between each player's turn, managing the puck collection at the end of each slide, recording pin counts for tournament scoring, and keeping the queue moving. The pin-reset requirement makes Strike Zone slightly more active to manage than hole-landing games — pins need to be physically stood back up between turns. This takes about 15-20 seconds and keeps the game flowing without significant delay.
