Space and Access Requirements

You need a 14'x16½' setup area with 17 feet of overhead clearance. The 17-foot height means outdoor setup is standard for this game. Indoor venues need a minimum ceiling height of 17 feet — this eliminates most standard fellowship halls, gymnasium bleacher areas, and banquet rooms. High-ceiling warehouse spaces, outdoor festival layouts, and large backyard areas are the natural home for the 4th and Goal. Allow additional clear space in front of the target for the throwing zone. One 12-amp outlet within 100 feet of the setup location is required.

Foam footballs are standard for inflatable game rentals as they are safer in crowded event settings and travel at a speed appropriate for the scoring zone target distances.

One adult supervisor manages both throwing positions: distributing footballs to players before each round, reading and announcing zone scores after each throw, tracking total scores for each player, managing the rotation and any queue, adjusting throwing distance for younger participants, and keeping a running leaderboard if a tournament format is used.
