Setup and Players

Place the two boards 27 feet apart, front to front. Doubles: 2 players per team, 4 players total — teammates stand at opposite boards and throw toward each other. Singles: 1 player per team, both players stand at the same end and throw to the far board. Split the 8 bags evenly by color — 4 per team. Coin flip determines who throws first.

Throwing and Scoring

Teams alternate throws — one bag at a time — until all 8 bags are thrown. A bag through the hole scores 3 points. A bag landing on the board surface without fouling scores 1 point. Fouled bags score nothing: any bag that touches the ground before the board, goes through the hole after bouncing off the ground, or is thrown from past the foul line does not count.

Cancellation Scoring and Winning

At the end of each round, cancel out equal points from each team — only the difference counts. If Team A scores 7 and Team B scores 4, Team A earns 3 points for the round. First team to reach 21 points wins. The team that won the previous round throws first in the next round. If scores are tied, throwing order does not change.

Tournament Play

With multiple teams, run a bracket tournament: winners advance, losers are eliminated, and a champion is crowned by end of the event. For large groups, run round-robin format where every team plays every other team and the highest win-record wins.
