Food and Seating in the Same Tent

The 20x20 seats 48 guests if you use the full interior for tables. The moment you add a food station, that number drops because the serving area competes with seating. The 20x30 gives you 30 additional linear feet to separate zones: food and drink on one end, dining tables on the other. Guests do not queue through the seating area to get food. That flow matters at any event with more than 40 people.

Seats 50 to 72 Guests Comfortably

With eight 8ft rectangle tables you seat up to 72 guests — the guest count range that makes a 20x20 feel tight and a 20x40 feel oversized. Six 60" round tables seat 48 to 60 in a more formal arrangement. This is the tent size for graduation parties and family reunions where the confirmed list is 55 to 65 people and you want space to breathe between tables.

600 Sq Ft With No Poles in the Way

Frame tent construction means every square foot of the 600 is usable. No center poles interrupt table placement or traffic flow. You can run a straight buffet line down one long side, place tables in clean rows on the other, and leave a clear 3-foot circulation aisle between them — the layout professional caterers use because it moves groups through efficiently without congestion.

Same Aztec high peak construction as every tent in our fleet. Wind-rated at 60+ mph when properly anchored, 16oz PVC blockout canopy, peaked center roofline that sheds rain cleanly and looks professional from across a yard or parking lot. Our crew stakes or anchors it to manufacturer spec — the tent is not going anywhere during your event regardless of what the Texas afternoon weather decides to do.

A Misting System Built for This Tent Size

We offer a misting system sized specifically for the 20x30 tent at $105. It attaches along the tent frame perimeter and drops the perceived temperature inside the tent significantly during Texas summer heat. A Portacool fan cools a corner. A misting system cools the whole tent. This combination — 600 sq ft under an Aztec high peak with a dedicated misting system — is how outdoor events stay comfortable in July and August.

Crew Does All of It

Installation the day before. Takedown the day after. Our trained crew handles every step — delivery, frame assembly, canopy attachment, staking or anchoring. You show up to your event with a standing, ready-to-furnish tent and leave the day after with an empty yard. The 20x30 is a larger installation than the 20x20 and even more important to have done by people who do it correctly.

8ft Rectangle Tables — Up to 72 Guests

Eight 8ft rectangle tables with chairs on all long sides seat up to 72 guests. This is the maximum capacity configuration — rows of long tables running the length of the tent with guests facing each other across the table. Best for graduation open houses, family reunions, and large birthday parties where the goal is maximum coverage and less about formal dining atmosphere.

6ft Rectangle Tables — Up to 60 Guests

Eight 6ft tables seat 48 to 60 guests with good circulation space between rows. The 6ft table is the most common rental choice — it seats 6 comfortably on the long sides, or 8 if you use the ends. This layout leaves enough aisle width between table rows that servers can work the space and guests can reach their seats without stepping around each other.

60" Round Tables — 48 to 60 Guests

Six 60" round tables seat 48 to 60 guests at 8 to 10 per table — the layout used for rehearsal dinners, milestone birthday parties, and any event where face-to-face conversation across the table matters more than maximum seat count. Round tables leave better circulation pathways than rectangles at similar guest counts and photograph well for formal outdoor events.

Zoned Layout — Food Station + Dining

Two or three 6ft rectangle tables along the back wall create a buffet station. Four to six dining tables fill the remaining space, seating 32 to 48 guests with full table service. This is the practical layout most backyard party hosts actually use — the food never leaves the tent, guests do not crowd around a separate table outside, and the whole event runs from one covered footprint. The 20x30 is the smallest tent that runs this layout without feeling tight.

Standing / Cocktail — 80 to 115 Guests

Remove seated tables and the open 600 square feet handles 80 to 115 guests for a cocktail, reception, or networking layout. Add high-top cocktail tables throughout and guests cycle through in waves rather than all arriving to find their assigned seat. This works for open houses, graduation receptions, and any event where guests come and go rather than arriving and staying for a seated meal.

Theater Style — Up to 100 Guests

Rows of chairs facing a presentation area or stage end seat up to 100 guests without tables. This configuration is used for outdoor graduation ceremonies, church services, speaker events, and any gathering where the primary activity is watching or listening rather than dining. The 30-foot length of the tent gives enough depth to create multiple rows with real sightlines.

Space Required

The tent footprint is 20x30 feet. Allow approximately 2 feet of staking clearance on all sides — so plan for a clear, flat area of roughly 24x34 feet minimum. The area must be free of overhead obstructions including trees, power lines, and structure eaves. Ground should be reasonably level. Slope greater than a few inches over the footprint requires discussion with our office before booking.

Grass Setup — Call 811 First

All underground utilities must be marked before our crew stakes the tent. Call 811 at least 5 business days before your installation date to schedule the free marking service. Private lines — irrigation systems, septic laterals, private gas lines — must be marked by you before we arrive. Stakes go 36 inches into the ground at all perimeter anchor points. This is not optional and we cannot begin installation without it completed.

Concrete Setup — Extra Charge

Concrete installations use water barrel anchors or drill anchors and carry an additional charge. Water barrels require a water source within 100 feet of the setup location. We bring anchors and the drill for drilled installations. Note your surface type when booking — concrete setup requires us to load different equipment and affects scheduling. Never book a concrete setup without confirming it and the additional cost with our office first.

Permits and No Same-Day Setup

Check with your city or venue about permit requirements before booking — rules vary by municipality and the open 20x30 is near the size threshold where some Texas cities begin requiring permits. We do not obtain permits; that is the customer's responsibility entirely. Commercial tent installation is not same-day: crew sets up the day before your event and takes down the day after. Book as early as possible — spring graduation season and fall dates fill quickly.

Misting System for 20x30 — $105

This is the misting system sized specifically for the 20x30 tent. It attaches along the tent frame perimeter and distributes a fine water mist throughout the interior, significantly reducing the felt temperature during Texas summer events. It is the most effective cooling option for this tent size because it covers all 600 square feet rather than cooling a single corner. Add it to your order directly from the booking system.

Globe Tent Lights — $45

String globe lights hang from the tent frame peaks and cross cables. They transform the 20x30 from a functional daytime shade structure into a warm ambient evening venue. The additional 10 feet of length over the 20x20 gives the lights more frame to hang from — the effect is more dramatic at this size than at the smaller tent. Essential for any 20x30 event that runs past sunset.

Portacool Fan — $169

For events that do not need full misting coverage, a Portacool evaporative fan at one open side of the tent pushes cooled air into the interior. Most customers running food stations near the open side find this placement most effective — the fan cools the area where guests are standing and moving rather than at the seating end where people are stationary longer.

Cathedral Window Sidewalls — $625 as separate booking

Need enclosure? The 20x30 tent with sidewalls is booked as its own listing at $625. Cathedral window panels on all four sides block wind and light rain, retain heat from a patio heater, and give the interior the enclosed venue feel. The right choice for fall and winter events or any occasion where weather protection and formality matter.

Patio Heater — $110

For fall and cool-evening events, a patio heater positioned near the tent opening or along a side keeps guests comfortable as temperatures drop after dark. Combine with sidewalls on the windward side for maximum warmth without enclosing the full tent. Two heaters cover more of the 600-square-foot interior effectively.

Tables and Chairs

Most customers book tables and chairs in the same order. We offer 6ft and 8ft rectangle tables in white and black, 48" and 60" round tables in white, standard folding chairs in black and white, and garden (wedding) chairs in white. Graduation Parties — 50 to 70 Guests

This is the tent size graduation parties outgrow the 20x20 for. Sixty guests is a common confirmed count for a high school graduation party — enough that the 20x20 feels tight with a food table taking space. The 20x30 handles 60 guests comfortably with a full food station on one end and dining tables throughout, with room for guests to move without crowding.

Family Reunions

Family reunions with 50 to 70 attendees find the 20x30 a comfortable fit. Long rectangle tables in rows for multiple generations seated together, a food and drink station at the end that keeps service away from the dining area, and enough space that kids can get up and circulate without disrupting every nearby adult. The misting system makes a July family reunion under this tent genuinely pleasant.
