The Only 18ft Dual-Lane Racing Water Slide in DFW Texas
The 18ft Plummeting Lava is the only 18-foot dual-lane racing inflatable water slide rental in DFW Texas — and the only dual-lane racing slide at any height that runs on a single 20-amp outlet. Two riders race head-to-head straight down steep side-by-side lanes from 18 feet, landing simultaneously in a wide inflated splashdown pool at the base. The bold lava design with red and orange tones and large palm tree accents makes this a dramatic visual centerpiece that earns its name the moment guests see it.
Every other dual-lane racing slide in our fleet needs two or three separate outlets on different breakers. The Plummeting Lava delivers the dual-lane racing experience at 18 feet on just one 20-amp circuit — making it the practical pick for backyards, school grounds, church lots, and outdoor venues where a second dedicated circuit near the lawn is not available. Rated for ages 5 to adult with a steep, straight-down pitch that sends both riders fast into the inflated pool simultaneously.
The Plummeting Lava is front-loading — both riders climb the same face they slide down. Front-loading is rare on dual-lane slides, and it means one adult supervisor can watch the ascent, both racing lanes, and both splashdowns from a single ground position. Every water slide in our fleet is state-inspected annually by the Texas Department of Insurance, constructed from lead-free fire-retardant vinyl, and cleaned between every rental. We deliver and set up the Plummeting Lava across Haslet, Bedford, Benbrook, and 50+ cities throughout the DFW metroplex.

Why the Plummeting Lava Is the Most Accessible Dual-Lane Racing Slide in DFW
The Only 18ft Dual-Lane Slide in the Fleet
Every other dual-lane racing water slide in the Inflatable Party Magic fleet stands 19 feet tall or higher. The Plummeting Lava delivers side-by-side racing competition at 18 feet — the height and speed stay in the range where 5-to-7-year-olds are still comfortable.
Dual-Lane Racing on One Outlet
The only dual-lane racing slide in the fleet that runs on a single 20-amp circuit. The 19ft Typhoon, 22ft Pipeline, 24ft Free Fall, 24ft Twin Turbo, and 26ft Turbulence all require two or more outlets on separate breakers. The Plummeting Lava brings head-to-head racing to venues and backyards without a second circuit.
Steep Straight-Down Pitch — Both Lanes Together
Two riders push off side by side from 18 feet and race the identical descent at the same time. Neither lane is faster by design, so every race is genuinely competitive from launch to splashdown. Speed is real, the outcome is uncertain, and the loser always wants a rematch.
Wide Inflated Splashdown Pool
The Plummeting Lava lands in a wide inflated splashdown pool that collects a large volume of water and produces a genuine splashdown on every run. The pool is wide enough to handle both racing lanes side by side, so both riders hit the water simultaneously — which creates the visual moment spectators react to at every race finish.
Front-Loading for Easy Supervision
The climbing staircase and both sliding lanes are on the same face. One adult supervisor in front watches the ascent, both racing lanes in motion, and both splashdowns from a single ground position — no repositioning required. Rare on dual-lane slides, which typically need rear-entry or split supervision.
Lava Design — Bold and Theme-Neutral
Bold red and orange tones with large palm tree accents give the Plummeting Lava an attention-commanding visual identity without locking it into a specific theme. Works at birthday parties, summer celebrations, luau events, and graduations — any outdoor event where the host wants a water slide that looks as dramatic as it rides.
How the Plummeting Lava Dual-Lane Water Slide Works
1
Two Riders Climb Together
Both racers climb the front-loading staircase to the 18-foot platform side by side. Climb and slide share the same face, so your adult supervisor watches the ascent and both descents from one spot on the ground without turning around.
2
Race Straight Down Side by Side
Both riders launch simultaneously down the steep straight-down lanes. Speed builds immediately and both riders descend fast. Neither lane has an advantage, so the outcome of every race is genuinely uncertain until someone hits the pool first.
3
Double Splashdown in the Pool
Both riders hit the wide inflated splashdown pool at the finish. The pool is wide enough to absorb both racers landing at speed and holds plenty of water for a genuine splash every time. Double splashdown is the moment spectators react to.
4
Rematch and Go Again
Step out of the splashdown pool, climb back up the front, race again. The loser always wants a rematch, and the winner wants to defend the title. You have the full 8 hours to settle every score.
Setup Requirements and How to Book the Plummeting Lava
Space and Access Requirements
You need 42 feet of length and 24 feet of width on flat ground with 18 feet of overhead clearance — no low-hanging tree branches or power lines above the setup area. The actual footprint is 16 feet wide by 36 feet long. A 48-inch (4-foot) wide gate to the backyard and a clear path to the setup location are required so our delivery crew can carry the unit through. The slide runs on one 110v outlet on a dedicated 20 amp circuit within 100 feet of the setup location — unlike every other dual-lane slide in our fleet that requires two or more outlets.
Water Hose Requirements
You must provide a traditional garden hose long enough to reach from your water spigot to the slide setup location. Do not use expandable grow hoses — they do not provide enough water pressure to keep both racing lanes properly wet. Inflatable Party Magic provides tarps for every water slide rental to reduce mud and water mess at the entry and exit areas.

Safety Features and Standards
The Plummeting Lava includes safety walls around the inflated splashdown pool to keep riders inside the landing zone. All inflatables from Inflatable Party Magic are state-inspected annually by the Texas Department of Insurance, constructed from lead-free fire-retardant vinyl, and cleaned between every rental. Best Events for the Plummeting Lava Dual-Lane Water Slide
Kids and Teen Birthday Parties
Dual-lane racing is the birthday-party format that turns the guest list into a tournament bracket. Head-to-head races keep kids engaged for hours longer than a single-lane slide. The 18-foot height keeps it approachable for ages 5-to-10 who might feel nervous on a 22 or 24-foot slide.
Graduation Parties
High school and college grads want a real dual-lane race. The Plummeting Lava delivers the competitive head-to-head format at 18 feet on one outlet — which means it fits most backyard setups without a second dedicated circuit to the yard.
Backyards Without a Second Outlet
Most residential backyards have one exterior outlet available for a water slide. The Plummeting Lava is the only dual-lane slide that fits that power constraint. No extension cords running across driveways, no dedicated circuit installation required.
Church Summer Events and VBS
Churches rent the Plummeting Lava for summer kick-offs, VBS days, and youth group events. The dual-lane format handles high-volume groups without bottlenecking at a single lane, and the one-outlet requirement means most church lots can power it directly.
School End-of-Year Events
Elementary and middle schools rent the Plummeting Lava for end-of-year reward days and field-day celebrations. Dual lanes double the throughput for classroom-sized groups. We handle vendor approval for schools and provide all required COI documentation.
Field Days and Community Events
HOA summer events, neighborhood block parties, and city field days love the racing format. Two lanes mean half the wait time, and the 18-foot height works for a wider age range than taller dual-lane slides.
Luau and Tropical Parties
The lava-with-palm-trees theme fits luau and tropical events without feeling like a kids-only attraction. Adults and teens race, kids race, and the visual ties to the tropical theme without additional decoration work.
Corporate Summer Events
Company picnics and employee appreciation days with dual-lane racing create the kind of friendly competition that gets employees out of their shells. The dramatic lava design photographs well for corporate event recap reels.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Plummeting Lava Dual-Lane Water Slide
Is the Plummeting Lava the only dual-lane slide that runs on one outlet?
Yes. Every other dual-lane racing water slide in the Inflatable Party Magic fleet requires two or more separate outlets on different breakers. That includes the 19ft Typhoon, 22ft Pipeline, 24ft Free Fall, 24ft Twin Turbo, 24ft Scream, and 26ft Turbulence. The Plummeting Lava is the only one that delivers dual-lane racing on a single 20-amp circuit.
How tall is the Plummeting Lava water slide?
The Plummeting Lava stands 18 feet tall with two steep side-by-side racing lanes. The actual footprint is 16 feet wide by 36 feet long. You need a setup area of 24 feet wide by 42 feet long with 18 feet of overhead clearance — no low-hanging branches or power lines above the slide.
What ages can ride the Plummeting Lava?
Ages 5 to adult. The 18-foot height is approachable for school-age kids while still delivering the speed teens and adults want. Younger riders pair up naturally for family races — parents against kids, siblings against siblings. Adult supervision is required at all times.
Does the Plummeting Lava have a pool at the bottom?
Yes. The Plummeting Lava lands in a wide inflated splashdown pool — not a traditional deep pool, but a wide inflated landing zone that holds a generous volume of water. The pool is wide enough to handle both racing lanes side by side so both riders splash down simultaneously. Close adult supervision is still required, especially for younger riders.
What does front-loading mean on a dual-lane slide?
Front-loading means the climbing staircase and both sliding lanes are on the same face of the slide. Both riders climb up the front, race down the front, and one adult supervisor in front watches the ascent, both descents, and both splashdowns from a single ground position. Most dual-lane slides are rear-entry — where riders climb the back and swing around to the slide face, requiring the supervisor to split attention. Front-loading is unique among our dual-lane slides.
